Andreja Kulunčić(visual artist, resides in Zagreb)
In her works, she probes different aspects of social relations and social practice, with special interest in socially engaged themes, research as artistic process, encounters with different audiences, and co-operation on a collective project. In her works the audience often has an active role of creation, or rather of completion. Multidisciplinarity is often a part of the creative progress, in which specific artistic skills are complemented with skills from other areas (co- operation with sociologists, philosophers, scientists, designers and experts on marketing).
She participated in well renowned international exhibitions, such as "Day Labor" exhibition in P.S.1 ((New York, 2005), Tirana Biennale 3 (Tirana, 2005), Liverpool Biennale (UK, 2004), 8th Istanbul Biennale (Turkey, 2003), "The American Effect" (Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, 2003), Documenta 11 (Kassel, Germany, 2002), Manifesta 4 (Frankfurt/ Main, Germany, 2002), as well as numerous gallery and on- line exhibitions throughout Croatia, Austria, Germany, India, Italy, Slovenia, Sweden, South Korea, and other countries. She also participated in art residency with her programs in Art in General (2005, New York, USA), Walker Art Center (2005, Minneapolis, USA), Artspace (2002, Sydney, Australia) and elsewhere.
